Tour Overview

This six hour small group tour from Queenstown combines local commentary with time to explore at your own pace, covering Arrowtown, Wanaka, Crown Range and Cardrona. Departing at 10.00, it is designed for a relaxed start before a full day on the road.

The route includes a guided driving tour of historic Arrowtown and the Chinese Settlement, followed by one hour of free time to walk, browse shops or stop for something to eat. You will then continue through the Crown Range, with photo stops looking out over Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu from New Zealand’s highest road, including Crown Terrace lookout.

In Cardrona, there is a complimentary drink at the historic Cardrona Hotel, known for its use in TV ads and reality shows. There is also time for photos at the bra fence. In Wanaka, the tour includes views over Lake Wanaka, a stop at the famous Wanaka tree where your guide can explain its history, and a guided driving tour before one hour of free time around the lakefront and town.

This is the longest running Arrowtown and Wanaka small group tour in Queenstown. It is suited to travellers who want a guided overview of these areas without rushing, with practical recommendations for lunch, shopping and photo stops along the way. Please note, it is not suitable for children under 6 years old.

Please be waiting from 9.50am on the seats outside Marmolada Cafe located in The Station Building. The street address for Marmolada Cafe is 43 Camp St Queenstown. The tour will leave 10.00am sharp and will not wait if you are late. Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there is not enough passengers to meet requirements, please contact us by 5pm the day before your departure to confirm we have minimum numbers for the tour to proceed. No hot foods or hot drinks allowed in tour van.
