Queenstown wine tour in Gibbston with four tastings at Gibbston Valley, Kinross, Mt Rosa and Ayrburn, plus an underground wine cave visit.

Tour Overview

Start the day with pickup at or near your Queenstown accommodation, then travel into the Gibbston wine region with a wine certified guide. Known for its Pinot Noir and long-established wineries, this tour focuses on four different tasting experiences, each with its own setting and style.

The first stop is Gibbston Valley Winery, one of the region’s founding wineries. Here, you’ll join a guided tour through New Zealand’s largest underground wine cave, followed by tastings of their wines. At Kinross, the tasting widens to include multiple labels, with the cellar door host also pouring wines from smaller producers and explaining how those wineries came to be. There is extra time here for lunch, which is ordered and paid for on the day, with options including pizzas, platters, smaller bites, and mains.

At Mt Rosa, a boutique owner operated winery below Nevis Bluff, the tasting takes place in a newly built cellar door among the vines, with a focus on their single label wines. The day finishes at Ayrburn with a self guided wine flight in the Manure Room or outside, weather dependent, set within historic grounds.

Venues are subject to change if a cellar door is closed.
