Cardrona Valley Mountain Quad Experience from Wanaka

Set out from opposite the entrance to Cardrona Ski Area, where the driveway is shared with Cardrona Distillery & Museum and the Cardrona Valley Bra Fence. From here, your guide welcomes you before you head into the Cardrona Valley for a two hour guided quad bike tour.

Riding easy to operate 450cc 4WD Yamaha quad bikes, you explore high country farm tracks and alpine trails on the Pisa Range. Mount Cardrona rises to the west, the Pisa Range sits to the east, and the Cardrona River winds along the valley floor between them. The route includes river crossings and climbs into the mountains for wide 360 degree views across the valley.

Along the way, the tour passes historical gold mining sites dating back to the 1860s gold rush, adding a clear sense of the area’s past to the ride. The terrain combines working farm country, mountain trails, and river sections, giving the trip variety without requiring previous quad biking experience.
