Fear Factory Queenstown is a live action haunted house experience in Queenstown’s CBD on Beach Street. Set inside the old Lockhart Hotel, this approximately 30 minute walk leads you through dark hallways and old hotel passageways, where you follow a trail of red lights at your own pace.

This is not just a maze. As you move through the haunted corridors, the experience brings your fears to life with live-action horror elements designed to keep you alert from start to finish. The setting, with its dim passageways and shifting sense of what might be around the next corner, creates a tense, fast-moving atmosphere.

Fear Factory is best tackled with friends, though some visitors do choose to go in alone. If it all becomes too much and you decide to Chicken Out, your name is added to the Chicken List, which has grown to 30,000 people over the last 10 years.

The experience is aimed at adults, but older children are welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children under 15 must be with an adult. Based in Beach Street, in the CBD, we offer a real, live-action horror experience Challenge yourself and your friends to walk the dark hallways of the old Lockhart Hotel…fun and frights await! Who knows who - or what! - you’ll meet, as you follow the trail of red lights through the old hotel passageways. Fear Factory is best enjoyed with friends, although a few brave souls have ventured in alone and lived to tell the tale! Your deepest fears are brought to life within our haunted corridors - and if you choose to ‘Chicken Out’ you will be added to our growing Chicken List of 30,000 souls in the last 10 years! Our experience is aimed at adults, but older children are welcome accompanied by a parent or guardian. The tour takes approximately 30 minutes. Are you brave enough?
