At Skippers Canyon Lookout, you’ll look out over New Zealand’s "Most Dangerous Road", with a Lord of the Rings filming location further inside the canyon. Nearby, the Coronet Viewpoint opens up views across the Wakatipu Basin.

In Arrowtown, the tour explores the village’s gold rush history and includes two Lord of the Rings filming locations a short walk from town, followed by morning or afternoon tea. In Gibbston Valley, Central Otago’s premier wine region, you’ll visit another filming location and see the Historic Kawarau Bridge, where bungee jumpers leap from the world’s first commercial bungee site.

The Glenorchy and Paradise section follows the Glenorchy Road, with a stop at Bennetts Bluff Lookout, then continues to Glenorchy at the head of Lake Wakatipu.
