Begin at the Cellar Door, where your guide will meet you before leading you to the private cheese room beside the Cheesery & Deli. In this 45 minute tasting, you will be seated in a rustic, refined space and guided through four wine and cheese pairings, with a focus on how different flavours work together.
The cheeses are fresh artisan cuts, handmade in Oamaru, and each pairing is presented as part of a structured tasting rather than a casual platter. This makes the experience well suited to anyone curious about the details of wine and cheese matching, whether you are building confidence with tasting or looking to compare styles more closely.
The experience takes place at Gibbston Valley, with an optional return transport service available from Queenstown, departing from the Station Building. If you choose the transport option when booking, you can leave the car at home and travel directly to and from the tasting.
This is a dedicated tasting experience centred on four pairings in the private cheese room. Guests under 16 are not permitted on tours or tastings.
