Hop-on hop-off wine and beer tour through Queenstown, Gibbston Valley and Arrowtown, with buses every 45 minutes and up to 8 travellers per group.

Tour Overview

Explore Queenstown, Gibbston Valley and Arrowtown at your own pace on the original hop on hop off wine and beer tour. With a maximum of 8 travellers per group, unless otherwise agreed, this is a flexible way to spend an afternoon or a full day without needing a car or designated driver. Buses run approximately every 45 minutes to each stop, and maps are provided to help you plan your day.

The route includes a wide mix of cellar doors, breweries, food stops and activities. In Arrowtown, you can step into the historic gold mining town, visit the Chinese Settlement and Lakes District Museum, or stop at The Winery Arrowtown to taste from a large range of New Zealand wines, whiskies, spirits and gin. Nearby, Rifters Tasting Room offers handcrafted gin tastings in historic Dudley’s Cottage.

In Gibbston Valley, you can choose from wineries such as Gibbston Valley Winery, where tastings, winery tours and the New Zealand’s largest Wine Cave are available, or Kinross, the cellar door for Coal Pit, Hawkshead, Kinross, Valli and Wild Irishman. Other stops include Mt Rosa, Brennan, Waitiri Creek and Nockies Palette.

If wine is not your focus, there are other ways to spend the day, from Shotover Jet on the Shotover River Canyons to Kawarau Bridge Bungy, tenpin bowling, or a relaxed stop at Canyon Food & Brew.
