Tour Overview

Meet your driver at Kiwi Country in Te Anau, then travel into Fiordland National Park on one of New Zealand’s best-known scenic routes. Along the way, your guide shares stories and local knowledge as the coach passes through rainforest, glacier-carved valleys and alpine lookouts, with time for short nature walks and photo stops at places including Eglinton Valley, Mirror Lakes, Knobs Flat and Monkey Creek.

At Milford Sound, board a spacious catamaran for a cruise through the fiord and out toward the Tasman Sea. The route stays close to the shoreline, giving you a clear view of towering mountains, sheer cliffs and hanging valleys. Waterfalls spill from rainforest high above, and there is the chance to spot New Zealand fur seal colonies and, at times, dolphins nearby.

The cruise passes Mitre Peak and finishes with a close approach to Stirling Falls, where you may feel the spray from the glacial melt. On board, there is comfortable seating, a sun deck, a bar serving local beer and wine, and a friendly crew sharing information about the fiord, its wildlife and history. Complimentary lunch is included. After the cruise, the coach returns directly to Te Anau without additional stops.

The Kiwi Country / Hollyford Cafe is the pick up point for all travellers on the coach and cruise tour departing from Te Anau. Please meet the driver in the cafe section of the building. They will be wearing Pure Milford uniform.

Pick up is from the Kiwi Country / Hollyford Café. Please meet your driver in the café section of the building. They will be wearing Pure Milford uniform. *Please note the scheduled time is a MEETING time, and not a departure time. Departure time is likely 15 minutes after the meeting time*. If you have any trouble locating the driver, please call 0800 500 121 / 03 442 4196 and we will gladly assist. Once on board the coach, the driver will provide a boarding pass for the cruise and take your lunch order. We recommend bringing cash for the onboard Cafe / Bar as stable connection for credit card transactions is not always reliable.
