Milford Sound Overnight Cruise Fiordland Jewel

Check in at the Fiordland Discovery desk at the Milford Sound Terminal at 2.35pm, board at 2.50pm, and depart at 3.10pm for an overnight cruise aboard the Fiordland Jewel. You return to the Milford Sound Terminal the next morning at approximately 8.45am.

With a maximum of 22 passengers each night, this is a small-scale way to explore Milford Sound onboard the Fiordland Jewel. The vessel has nine climate-controlled cabins, each with an ensuite and sea views. Accommodation is based on two people per cabin, with a choice of king twin or super king double.

Your time on the water includes two cruises of Milford Sound, along with kayaking and tender boat explorations. Weather permitting, you can also use the top-deck hot tub while surrounded by the fiord. The crew share their knowledge of the area’s natural wilderness and local wildlife throughout the journey.

Meals are included, with a three-course evening meal and a cooked and continental breakfast prepared by the onboard chef. After dinner, underwater film footage captured by the Fiordland Jewel’s onboard Remote Operating Vehicle, ROV, offers a look at sea life beneath the surface.

Bookings are open from 1 November 2025 to 26 April 2026. Van connections from Te Anau or Queenstown are available for an additional charge.
