This guided heli-snowmobiling trip combines a scenic helicopter flight with time on your own snowmobile in the remote Garvie Plateau. It is New Zealand’s only heli-snowmobiling experience, with access to this exclusive area available only by helicopter.
After landing in the Garvie Range, you will head out across undulating backcountry terrain on a fully guided ride. The setting is open, alpine, and far from the usual access routes, giving this tour a strong sense of remoteness from the moment you arrive. The route focuses on exploring snow-covered trails and the natural contours of the plateau, with wide views across the surrounding landscape.
Group sizes are kept small, with no more than six guests on each trip, which allows for a more personal pace on the snow. All tours are led by qualified guides, so expectations are clear from start to finish and support is on hand throughout the ride.
