Tour Overview

Designed for travellers who want a more personal wine experience, this exclusive tour pairs you with a Specialist Wine Guide and a private itinerary through Central Otago. Travel at your own pace, with flexible start times and the option to tailor the day around your preferred varietals or vineyards.

The experience includes being chauffeured around premium vineyards in a luxury vehicle, with your guide drawing on local knowledge of the region’s wine scene. Your first tasting takes place in the Gibbston sub-region, setting the tone for a relaxed day focused on quality cellar door visits rather than a fixed group schedule. Along the way, you can also view the AJ Hackett bungy, a well-known landmark in the area.

There are three tour styles to choose from. The Private Heli and Wine Tour runs for 5 hours and includes a 45 minute heli-flight, visits to 3 premium vineyards, and lunch with a glass of wine at Mt Difficulty Winery. The Private Boutique Wine Tour lasts 5.5 hours, with visits to 4 premium vineyards and a platter lunch at Carrick Winery. The Private Classic Wine Tour is 4 hours, also visiting 4 premium vineyards, with a platter lunch at Kinross.

Each option is fully customisable, making it a flexible way to explore Central Otago wine country.
