Guided 1000cc Honda buggy ride on a 650 acre Queenstown property, with central check-in, return transfers, viewpoint stops and local history.

Tour Overview

Start with check-in and a briefing in central Queenstown, then either self-drive to the site, just five minutes away, or travel there in the operator’s van. Return transfers back to the town centre are included, and you should allow an extra 30 minutes for check-in and transfers on top of the 1 or 2 hour tour.

Once on the 650 acre property, settle into a new 1000cc Honda buggy while your expert guide takes the wheel. This is a guided off-road ride, so you can focus on the changing views as the buggy follows purpose-built trails across the property. The route includes stops at viewpoints, giving you time to take in the landscape before continuing on.

Along the way, the guide shares stories of Queenstown’s past and present, from its gold mining heritage to its place as the adventure capital of New Zealand. The experience is designed to be accessible, with children welcome from 4 years old and only minimal English required.

    A mind-blowing 1-hour (or 2-hour) adventure in our latest edition 1000cc buggy, where our expert guides take the wheel while you relax and soak in the spectacular views of our exclusive 650-acre property. Traverse thrilling off-road trails, pause at breathtaking viewpoints, and discover Queenstown’s rich history—from its gold mining heritage to its status as the adventure capital of New Zealand. Designed for all ages, with participants welcome from just 4 years old. Only minimal English is required.

Important Information

Check in at the Off Road Adventure Centre, 61a Shotover Street in central Queenstown. Please check in 10 minutes before your tour departure time. Transfers are included although you can self drive to the site after completion of check in at the shop. Off Road Expeditions reserve the right to cancel or amend any trip due to river, road or weather conditions. Stringent safety procedures are observed at all times, however there remains an element of risk. Off Road Expeditions cannot be held responsible for personal injury or for loss or damage of equipment.

  • Departures: Confirmed tours depart daily at 10am and 3pm. Please check-in 15 minutes before your departure time.
  • Check-in location: The Off Road Adventure Centre, 61A Shotover St in central Queenstown. Please check-in 10 minutes before your departure time. Transfers are included although you can self-drive to the site.
  • We provide: Transport to and from our shop in central Queenstown, late model 4x4 machines, helmets, eye protection. Wet weather jacket/pants available if required.
  • We recommend: Wearing sensible clothing that you will be comfortable in & don’t mind getting dusty. Feel free to bring water, food, a camera and a bag with you.
