Small-group adults-only wine tour through Gibbston Valley with a local guide, visiting Gibbston Valley Wines, Kinross and Amisfield for 13+ tastings.

Tour Overview

Travel through Central Otago’s Gibbston Valley, the Valley of the Vines, on a small group wine tour limited to 10 guests. With a local guide leading the day, you’ll travel by luxury Mercedes Sprinter and visit three premium wineries, with a relaxed adults only pace and more than 13 tastings across the day.

The experience begins at Gibbston Valley Wines with a guided tasting and a 30 minute tour inside New Zealand’s largest wine cave. As one of the region’s founding wineries, Gibbston Valley released Central Otago’s first commercial vintage in 1987, adding real context to your first stop.

At Kinross, taste wines from their partner winemakers, including Valli, Hawkshead, High Garden, and Wild Irishman. There is time to stay for lunch at the winery restaurant, at your own expense, with options ranging from share plates and small plates to pizzas. You can sit in the Wine Garden or indoors in the Bistro.

Your final tasting is at Amisfield, where the cellar door and restaurant sit within a single-estate organic vineyard. The winery is known for its stone architecture, views over Lake Hayes and the surrounding mountains, and wines including Pinot Noir and aromatic whites. If Bella the wine tour dog joins the day, that is an added bonus.
