Self-Guided Milford Track Day Walk - Milford Sound

From Sandfly Point, follow a flat, easy going stretch of track through Fiordland scenery toward Giant Gate Falls, one of the best known highlights on this part of the Milford Track. In under two hours, you can reach the falls, with 3 to 4 hours recommended for the full return hike. This makes it a practical option for visitors who want to experience the track in a single day rather than commit to a multi day hike.

The walk is family friendly and suited to a wide range of walkers, with clear expectations around what is and is not included. This is a self guided experience, with no guide, lunch, or beverages supplied.
