Tandem Hang Gliding

Check in at the Skytrek desk 30 minutes before your booked time, then travel by courtesy transport to the launch area on Coronet Peak, about 20 minutes from town. While the ground crew fits your helmet and harness, your pilot prepares the hang glider and talks you through exactly what to expect before take-off.

Once you launch, the feeling is immediate, you are suspended beneath a lightweight hang glider with your pilot, moving out over Queenstown with open views across the mountains, forests, and lakes described below. The flight is guided by professional, certified hang gliding pilots, with safety and clear instruction built into every stage.

The landing takes place on the valley floor, around 3.7 km from the take-off point. After landing, the team packs up the equipment and transfers you back to town.

This is a tandem hang gliding experience designed to give you a direct sense of free flight, with the structure and support of an experienced crew from check-in to return transport. From the launch on Coronet Peak to the landing on the valley floor, the focus stays on the flight itself and the wide Queenstown landscape around you.
