The route meanders around the Queenstown Golf Course peninsula before returning along the lake. Along the way, you can stop at The Boat Shed, Altitude Brewery, The Frankton Arm Tavern, Wakatipu Grill at the Hilton, or Sherwood.

For a longer challenge, the 8 hour Queenstown to Arrowtown loop covers 62 km across the Frankton Trail, Twin River and Countryside Trail. This full-day ride includes eight bridges and three rivers, then reaches Arrowtown, a leafy town on the banks of the Arrowtown River, known for its gold mining history and western-style architecture.
