Wine Tasting Adventure Wanaka and Beyond

This full day wine tasting and sightseeing tour explores the wine regions around Wanaka, Pisa, Cromwell, Bannockburn and Bendigo, with time to relax while the day is taken care of for you. It combines cellar door visits, regional scenery and a gourmet lunch platter, creating a well paced day built around Central Otago wine.

The tour begins and ends in Wanaka, a base known for scenic vistas, outdoor activities, and food and wine. From there, travel through Cromwell, set in the heart of the 45th parallel and surrounded by the Dunstan, Pisa and Old Woman mountain ranges, as well as Mt Difficulty. This part of Central Otago is known for fruit growing and grapes.

In Bannockburn, the region’s gold mining history sits alongside its reputation for boutique wines, shaped by hot summer days and low rainfall. The route also includes Bendigo, once used by Māori as a camping site on seasonal journeys between Wanaka and the West Coast to collect pounamu greenstone, and now recognised for Pinot Noir.
